Racing is all about putting the puzzle together and putting your plan to work…..a quote from USST Head Coach Pete Vordenberg after the first distance races of the World Cup season:
“They both followed their race plan and when it came time to push they both pushed hard and fought to the finish. The only time I am unsatisfied is if a skier looses focus, gives up, starts looking around… Sometimes your skis are not fast, sometimes you don’t feel super, “sometimes” happens. But if you put on a number then you are racing and there is one way to race: all out.”

The Biathlon World Cup kicks off in just a few weeks for Adirondackers Tim Burke and Lowell Bailey. They departed on Sunday and are now training in Torsby, Sweden before going to the first WC venue. Last Friday they had a final intesity workout on the treadmill at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid. (The coach in the video is James Upham – USBA Development Coach)
